This glossary explains 36 useful terms in plain English, with distinctions that matter when reading a game screen, promotion or payment instruction. Spartans is a casino and sportsbook, but a general definition is not confirmation that a particular game, payment method, feature or promotion is available in every account or region. Check the relevant game information and applicable terms before making a decision.

1. Slot basics: reels, paylines and symbols

A reel is one of the vertical columns in a slot display; a row is a horizontal position within a reel. A five-reel, three-row layout, for example, shows 15 symbol positions at a time. The layout describes the screen, not the number of ways to win. Some games use fixed paylines, others use ways-to-win systems, and some use a different mechanic altogether.

A payline is a specified route across reels on which a qualifying symbol combination may pay. It might run straight across or follow a zigzag pattern. A symbol is an image or icon in the game, and its value depends on that game’s paytable. Do not assume that matching symbols anywhere on the screen count: check whether the game requires a particular line, direction or number of adjacent reels.

2. Slot mechanics: wilds, scatters and features

A wild is a symbol that can substitute for some other symbols to help form a combination, subject to the game’s rules. It may not replace every symbol, and some wilds have extra functions, such as expanding or moving. A scatter is a symbol that commonly triggers an award or feature based on how many appear, regardless of a standard payline. The exact trigger count and any award are game-specific.

A bonus round is a separate feature within a game, such as choosing prizes or playing free spins. A multiplier increases an eligible win by a stated factor: a 2× multiplier applied to a qualifying 5-unit win would make that win 10 units before any other rules. A jackpot is a prize category, often advertised as fixed or progressive. These labels do not establish the odds, prize amount or eligibility; consult the individual game rules.

3. Return, volatility and individual outcomes

RTP, or return to player, is a theoretical percentage describing the proportion of stakes a game is designed to return over a very large number of plays. It is not a prediction for one session, a promise of repayment or a measure of the next spin. No numeric Spartans RTP is established by this glossary. If a game displays an RTP, read the figure and its context in that game’s information rather than applying it to other titles.

Volatility (sometimes called variance) describes how a game’s results tend to be distributed: higher-volatility play may feature less frequent but larger wins, while lower-volatility play may feature smaller wins more often. It does not tell you when a win will occur. A random number generator (RNG) is software used by many digital games to produce outcomes. Neither volatility nor an RNG label makes a particular result predictable.

4. Live casino and table-game language

Live casino refers to games presented with a real-time streamed dealer or game host, rather than a purely animated game. A live dealer manages the presentation and game procedure; the term does not mean the dealer controls or can predict a player’s result. A table limit is the stated minimum and maximum stake allowed for a particular table or betting position. Check the displayed limit before joining, since it can differ between tables.

In games such as blackjack, a side bet is an optional wager separate from the main hand, with its own rules and payout table. In roulette, an inside bet selects a smaller group of numbers or a single number, while an outside bet covers a broader category, such as a colour. These terms describe bet types, not their relative suitability. Before staking, check the game’s own rules, accepted betting positions and displayed payout information.

5. Sportsbook terms beside casino play

An odds display expresses the price offered for a sportsbook selection. Its format may be decimal, fractional or another supported style, so first identify which format is shown. With decimal odds of 2.00, a hypothetical 10-unit stake would return 20 units if the selection wins, including the original stake, before any applicable conditions. This arithmetic example does not describe a Spartans offer or predict an outcome.

A market is the specific question or outcome available for a sporting event, such as the match result. A selection is the choice within that market. A settlement is the process of determining and recording the result of a bet under the applicable rules. Casino game terminology and sportsbook terminology are not interchangeable: a slot’s paytable does not explain how a sports market is settled.

6. Stakes, balances and wagering requirements

A stake is the amount risked on one bet, spin or game round. A bet or wager is the committed play itself; the stake is its monetary amount. A balance is the amount shown in an account, but the screen may distinguish cash funds from promotional funds or funds that are subject to conditions. If two balances are shown, check which one a game will use before starting.

Wagering requirements describe how much eligible play may be required before certain promotional funds or related winnings can be withdrawn. If a hypothetical offer required 5× wagering on 20 units of eligible bonus funds, the calculation would be 100 units of qualifying wagering. This is only an arithmetic illustration, not a Spartans promotion term. Check the specific campaign’s eligible games, contribution rules, time limits and withdrawal conditions; offer terms apply to the campaign in question, not to promotions generally.

7. Deposits, withdrawals and payment processing

A deposit moves funds into an account using a supported payment method. A withdrawal is a request to transfer eligible funds out. A payment method may be a card, bank service, e-wallet or another option shown to the account holder. The available methods, limits, processing steps and timing should be checked in the account and current terms; the existence of a method in general does not establish that Spartans offers it to a particular user.

Pending commonly describes a request that has been submitted but is not yet completed. Processing indicates that handling is underway, while completed indicates a recorded final status in the relevant system. These labels can refer to different stages, and a completed status does not necessarily mean that a receiving bank or wallet has displayed funds immediately. Keep the transaction reference and check both the account status and payment provider’s record.

8. Crypto payments: addresses and confirmations

A wallet address is a destination identifier for a cryptocurrency transfer. A network is the blockchain or payment rail used to send that asset. The asset and network must match the deposit instructions: choosing a similarly named token on a different network can cause a transfer to fail or become difficult to recover. Verify the displayed address and network carefully before sending; do not rely on an old address or a copied instruction without checking it.

A network confirmation is a record that a transaction has been included and accepted by the blockchain according to that network’s process. A transaction may need multiple confirmations before a receiving service treats it as sufficiently settled. A transaction ID (also called a transaction hash) is a reference that can help locate the transfer on the relevant network. Confirmations are not the same as an account credit: platform review or processing may be a separate step, and no universal confirmation count or credit time should be assumed.

9. Identity checks, KYC and AML

KYC, short for “Know Your Customer,” refers to identity verification procedures. A platform may request information or documents to confirm details or meet its procedures. Verification means that submitted information has been reviewed against the relevant requirements; sending a document does not itself mean that the check is complete. Follow the instructions shown in the account and provide clear, valid material through the requested channel.

AML means anti-money laundering. An AML policy explains procedures intended to identify and address relevant financial risks. These checks are distinct from a game’s rules and from a promotion’s wagering conditions, even if they affect account access or payment processing. The Spartans help centre lists an AML policy, but this glossary does not substitute for its current text or establish what documentation will be requested in an individual case.

10. Account access, terms and support

An account is a user’s registered profile and associated activity. Login means accessing that account with the required credentials; registration is the process of creating one. Spartans’ official homepage displays Login and Register. Protect login details, use only the account’s own recovery process if access is lost, and do not share authentication codes with someone claiming to provide support.

Terms and conditions set rules that apply to a service, account or particular activity. Account support is assistance with questions or problems such as access, a transaction status or a verification request. When contacting support through the official service, give a concise description, relevant dates and any reference number, but avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data. Spartans lists general terms, a FAQ and an AML policy in its help-centre materials; consult the relevant current page for the governing detail.

11. Promotions, eligibility and app terminology

A promotion is a campaign with defined eligibility and conditions; it is not necessarily a general account benefit. An offer term is one rule within that campaign, such as who can participate, which games count, a deadline or a limit. A promo code is a code that may be required by a specific campaign. Do not assume a code exists, works or applies to your account unless the owner-confirmed campaign instructions say so. Read the complete offer terms before opting in or depositing.

An app installation is the process of adding software to a device; an APK is one Android application-package format. These words do not establish that a native APK is available or that an installation route is official. Spartans provides an app-installation information page, which should be checked for current instructions and device compatibility. A translated page or app interface also does not by itself establish that the operator is authorised to serve a particular market.

12. Reading definitions without overinterpreting them

A minimum is the lowest permitted amount or threshold; a maximum is the highest stated limit. A qualifying game is a game that meets a particular rule, such as a campaign’s eligibility requirement. These definitions depend on context: the minimum stake for a table, the minimum deposit for a method and a minimum promotional threshold are separate figures. Look for the label beside the number and the section of terms that governs it.

A glossary makes unfamiliar language easier to parse, but it cannot establish local market permission, live availability, account eligibility or a specific payment outcome. For Spartans, use the current official information and the terms tied to the exact account, game, transaction or campaign. If a screen and a general explanation seem inconsistent, save the relevant wording and ask support to clarify that specific case rather than relying on assumptions.

Does RTP tell me how much I will win in a Spartans session?
No. RTP is a theoretical long-run measure for a particular game, not a forecast for a session or an individual result. This glossary does not establish numeric RTP figures for Spartans games. Check the information provided for the specific title.
Are all Spartans promotions subject to the same wagering terms?
Do not assume so. A campaign’s own terms determine eligibility, qualifying games, wagering calculations, deadlines and withdrawal conditions. Review the full terms for the specific owner-confirmed offer; one promotion’s rules do not automatically apply to another.
What should I check before sending cryptocurrency?
Confirm the asset, network and destination address against the current deposit instructions. Keep the transaction ID and check the network’s confirmation status. Blockchain confirmations and an account credit are separate stages, so do not assume a universal confirmation count or credit time.
Does submitting KYC documents mean my account is verified?
Not necessarily. Submission means the material was sent; verification requires review against the applicable requirements. Follow the account’s instructions and use the official support process if a requested check or status is unclear.
Does a Spartans page in my language prove the service is authorised where I live?
No. A translated regional page indicates language presentation, not market authorisation. Check the rules that apply in your location and rely on appropriate official information; this glossary does not determine whether access is permitted in a particular jurisdiction.
